RGF grant funds medical care for grantee, Amy

Sometimes our young and aspiring athletes just need that little extra support to help them overcome frustrating injuries that halt their progress, often when they are on the cusp of significant achievements. That is why Discus thrower, Amy, contacted us and why we decided to support her.

Amy has been in touch to thank the RGF and give us an update. She told us: “My name is Amy, and I’ve been competing in athletics since the age of 10. Athletics is one of the most important things in my life. Before my injury, I had big plans for the season with the aim of making the Senior European Team. Unfortunately, at the beginning of the season, I picked up an injury that has caused me to put this year on hold. With the help of The Rob George Foundation, it has provided me with some security, knowing I have the funds to continue treatment. Without their help, I would not have been able to get the important medical care I needed to help get me back competing. The Rob George Foundation has provided a lifeline for me and so many other young people, and I cannot thank them enough for helping me throughout my injury! I hope to continue working with them as they are such an incredible charity, helping many individuals achieve and pursue their dreams.”
