Gold for Caitlyn

We are delighted to announce that RGF grantee, trampolinist Caitlyn, has won a gold medal for England in the Junior Girls Category at the Loule Cup, held in Portugal last weekend.

Caitlyn has been in touch and told us: ”I was lucky enough to be awarded a grant from The Rob George Foundation at the beginning of the year to support my career in trampoline. After being selected for the 2022 Junior England Squad in December, and despite some injuries, I have had a very successful 2022 season which was topped off this past weekend by winning a Gold medal for England in the Junior Girls Category at the Loule Cup in Portugal. I have also won a number of gold, silver and bronze medals in both trampoline and double mini trampoline at National competitions throughout the season.

“Earlier this year I was selected to represent England for the first time at the Frivolten Cup in Sweden where I finished 5th after a small error in my finals routine. This experience was invaluable in helping me prepare for the Loule Cup.

“It is an honour to represent my country on the international stage and without the help of The Rob George Foundation this would not have been possible as my trampoline career is funded by my parents. I’d like to say a huge thank you to the Rob George Foundation for allowing me to follow my dreams.”

Reacting to Caitlyn’s success, David Cant, RGF Trustee said: “What an absolutely amazing achievement. The result of tremendous dedication, application and skill. Caitlyn personifies everything we look for in an Aim 2 grantee. We send our huge congratulations to Caitlyn and her family. Caitlyn, we are immensely proud of you!”

We have attached a video of Caitlyn’s winning routine – enjoy!”
