Henry approached the RGF in July to help fund a competition camp in Barcelona in September. Henry’s goal is to captain his team at the European qualifiers in March 2024, and the Barcelona camp was a preparation competition of a very high standard.
Henry and his team made great progress in Barcelona and has stayed connected with a progress report. He told us:
“The Barcelona camp was of a very high standard, with some of the best European club teams competing. The level was of such a high standard it allowed us to raise the bar in our game and compete at levels we had not been able to do before. Since Barcelona we have had some domestic camps, playing UK Division 1 and 2 teams, and the improvement and success has been fantastic!
“We are currently preparing for a competition, the EU Nations Cup, in December to be held in Brno, Czech Republic, a seniors Men’s competition which will test us all.
“In the New Year our final preparations will see us in Barcelona again, then onto the qualifiers in March”.
