The RGF supports highly talented dancer, Keeley – Keeley, just 16, from Lancashire approached us in May to help fund her first year’s fees at The Hammond in Chester. The Hammond is a top-rated specialist co-educational performing arts school and Keeley’s aim is to gain a Level 6 Diploma in Professional Dance. There’s no doubting Keeley’s talent and the trustees were unanimous in supporting her application.
Please take time to watch Keeley’s video where you will see her do the RGF t-shirt proud with a stunning routine – and we thank Keeley for taking the time to film this video just for us!
As you can imagine, Keeley is very busy training and performing her various routines, but she took time out this week to send us this message: “I would just like to thank the RGF for the grant they have given me to enable me to attend The Hammond. I have received a part scholarship from The Hammond and together with the help and support from RGF and my amazingly supportive family, I am able to pursue a career in professional dance at this elite dance school and my time there will begin in September. I have been dancing for many years undertaking exams in all disciplines, which I will continue to do. I have also been part of my current dance school’s competition team competing in solos, duets, trios and team dances. I most recently won Miss Senior Lancashire Dancer. I am currently training for our July show and will then be getting ready to start a whole new chapter in my life…. thank you once again RGF….you really don’t know how happy you have made me x.”
The performing arts is very close to the core of the RGF and it’s been wonderful to see Lorraine enthuse over Keeley’s undoubted ability and we all wish her the very best as she pursues her dreams and we have every confidence that with continued support, guidance, learning and development, and a huge amount of dedication and commitment she’ll be a star – all the best Keeley!
