Following the success of Aimee’s ‘ice bucket challenge’ back in 2019, she and her family decided the time was right for a repeat performance. So, earlier this month, Aimee, along with nine keen (ish!) family members and friends, ironically dodging the rain, tipped buckets of cold water over each other, remained on speaking terms (we hope!), and raised £235 for the RGF.
During the pandemic, Aimee has lost none of her love for skating and has her eyes set on a podium finish when the British Championships can finally take place.
RGF trustee, David Cant commented: “We are always thrilled to hear from our grantees when they have gone out of their way to raise funds for the RGF, to ‘give back’ so we, in turn, can continue to support other young people across the UK. For the faint-hearted out there, we are reliably informed that everyone who participated had a lot of fun, and that is what it is all about – big RGF thanks to Aimee, her family and friends.”
