Hannah Brooks has supported the Rob George Foundation over many years, principally through producing themed calendars, that are sold, with the proceeds going to Hannah’s favourite charities. Fortunately, the RGF is one of her favourite charities and Hannah has been in touch with us to tell us why:
“Rob was a childhood friend of mine – we went to church together from as young as I can remember, until youth group in our early teens. When I heard that the RGF was being founded, I knew it was something I wanted to support, not only because I know the George family, but also because the aims of the RGF are brilliant and unique; they resonate with me as someone who is a physio, loves sport and the performing arts. I absolutely love reading stories about how RGF grantees are benefiting from the support they receive and seeing what difference the charity is making in their lives is so wonderful. I am pleased that I am able to support the RGF in a small way through my annual calendar project; this project started in 2015, where each year I make a calendar using photos I have taken of nature. Every year the calendar has a different theme, and I chose ‘community and belonging’ as the theme for 2022. I will definitely be making a 2023 charity calendar, and the RGF will, as always, be a charity I will be raising money for. Look out for it later on in the year”.
Rob’s parents, Pip and Lorraine said: “Hannah’s support over many years has been amazing and her friendship with Rob and her very personal motivation to raise funds for the RGF makes it even more special and touching. Thank you, Hannah for your loyal support for the RGF; we are so grateful.”
