We are delighted to advise you that RGF trustee, Glen Dobbs, has now completed his gruelling challenge walking from one terminus to the other (or the furthest apart where there are multiple) of each of the eleven London Underground lines!
After a beer, or four, Glen shared the following blistering statistics of his completed walkwith us:
217.1 miles
65 hours 23 minutes
454,694 steps
Sponsorship monies raised to date – £6.8k (including Gift Aid)
A very proud Glen told us: “After many hours, miles, and steps, I’m really pleased to have completed the eleven Underground lines by the end of April. I explored more of London and its surrounding areas than I ever thought I would, and my feet are still recovering, but I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge. I’m incredibly grateful for those who have sponsored me and in doing so are helping the RGF continue its amazing work helping young people in need.”
Pip George, Rob’s dad, and Chairman of the RGF responded, saying: “Lorraine and I, and our fellow trustees are so proud of Glen for his amazing achievement. Glen was one of Rob’s oldest and dearest friends and Rob would have been so touched that Glen should choose to undertake this novel and fearsome challenge to raise money for the Foundation.“
