There are so many ways the Rob George Foundation can make a difference to the lives of young people across the UK.
Arabella’s mum, Jess, approached us for a grant in April. She informed us that following her diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, Arabella had subsequently had a nasty fall, and due to the impact of chemotherapy weakening her bones, she’d snapped her femur.
The family were told that Arabella would need 6-9 months of rehabilitation. Arabella, a very active child, was finding it frustrating not being able to get about, and to maintain a healthy level of mobility she needed a ‘comfy’ pram. Jess’s grant request was successful, and the pram has certainly made a difference!
Jess has been back in touch and told us: “Wow, the pram arrived so quickly. It’s just what we needed, and Arabella is so happy to have a ‘comfy’ pram to be wheeled around in. Arabella loves it so much that she’s had a couple of naps in it (And normally she doesn’t nap). We have been everywhere in it already!
“Thank you so much for your amazing support. You really have made a massive difference to our lives at such a challenging time for Arabella and our family.”
