Imagine…
RGF grantee, Ben, has sent us his HUGE thanks to the Rob George Foundation who recently awarded a grant for him to purchase a laptop. This will make a huge difference to Ben’s home-schooling experience and Ben is extremely grateful.
Ben was diagnosed (at the age of 7) with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) on New Year’s Day 2018. He was very poorly and spent 10.5 months in the Great North Children’s hospital in Newcastle. Ben went through 4 intensive rounds of chemotherapy, numerous theatre visits, had an appendix removed, many blood transfusions and life-threatening infections.
Ben continues to have regular blood checks and heart scans and is one brave boy!
