The Rob George Foundation (RGF) is proud to support Henry’s journey to Serbia, where he will represent England at the 2025 ISF World School Games. As a young swimmer with incredible dedication and talent, Henry’s story is one of hard work, commitment, and achievement.
Henry has loved being in the water since a very young age. He joined a swimming club when he was 7 years old, saying, “The pool is my happy place” and “I always enjoy training and racing.” In recent years, his passion for swimming has become more serious, with him competing at County, Regional, and National levels.
Now aged 14, Henry swims for Bromley Swimming Club. His achievements so far in 2025 include:
14 x Kent County Champion (out of 17 possible events)
2 x Silver & 1x Bronze
8 x Junior (under 16) Champion
3 x County Records
1 x London Region Junior Record
His main goals for the rest of the year include breaking more county records and medalling at the “Next Gen” Aquatics GB Championships in the summer.
Henry’s versatility across all events and distances means he has yet to specialise in any one area. As he puts it: “I want to keep all my options open for as long as I can.”
Recently, Henry was selected by the English Schools Swimming Association (ESSA) to represent England at the 2025 ISF World School Games in Serbia. This prestigious event will bring together over 3,500 athletes from around the world for a ten-day competition.
However, funding was initially a concern, and it looked unlikely that Henry would be able to accept his place until the Rob George Foundation stepped in with additional sponsorship.
A senior ESSA representative commented: “This is wonderful news and will enable Henry to compete in this prestigious multi-sport event, to be held in Serbia. This will be an amazing experience for this exceptional young swimmer.”
Henry said: “I’m so excited, I’ve never even been on a plane before!”
Henry’s dad added: “Henry works so hard and lives the life of a dedicated athlete outside of the pool too. He really deserves this and has earned it through his extraordinary efforts. I know he’ll come back more motivated than ever. Thank you to the Rob George Foundation.”
