Imagine…
In September 2022, Brontë successfully applied to the RGF to assist with the funding of course and examination fees for an ISTD DDE in Dance Education.
A busy Brontë has been in touch with us with an update. She told us: “I am presently in my 2nd year at Renaissance Arts Conservatoire (R/A) in Leeds, studying towards a vocational qualification in Dance & Musical Theatre, alongside a Level 4 Diploma in Dance Education.
“I train for 8 hours a day, 4 days a week and it is often very intense. We train with professionals across the industry who I find very inspirational. Several Sundays a year I also help at The Scholars, which is a programme at R/A for talented dancers aged 11-19. The photo of me wearing the RGF t- shirt shows me ringing the bell for beating my own personal best in hip thrusts.
“Classes on my course include Ballet, Tap & Technical Jazz, as well as Commercial and Contemporary dance. There’s also vocal technique and acting through song and dance.
“Now I am working towards my mid-term assessments, and we are also preparing and auditioning for our end of year showcase which is held at Northern Ballet. Last Year I featured in 12 numbers. I am very honoured to have already been chosen for the role of Wednesday in a musical theatre piece from The Addams Family Musical, later this year.
“I have danced from the age of three and a career in the performing arts, possibly starting on board cruise ships, is my dream.
“I am so grateful to the RGF for helping me on this journey and enabling me to pursue my passion, and potential future career – I am loving the whole experience – thank you for helping to make it happen!”
