Imagine…
RGF grantee Jayden has autism, dyslexia, and dyspraxia, and he has missed out on some opportunities while attending a mainstream school. Recently, Jayden was introduced to the local Rugby Club, Trinity, and it has made a huge difference in his life.
Through participating in this competitive team sport, Jayden has found his passion, gaining self-esteem, a sense of purpose, and a greater connection to his community. His commitment to teamwork has also led to improvements in his emotional, physical, and mental well-being.
The support of the Rob George Foundation has played a key role in Jayden’s journey. With the provision of essential rugby kit and boots, Jayden’s confidence has soared, and his performance and contribution to the team have improved.
RGF trustee, David Cant, said: “For all our Aim 2 sporting grantees, having the right kit is absolutely crucial, both from a participation and psychological perspective. Providing Jayden with training kit and boots has really changed Jayden’s performance levels and his contribution to the team, whilst also uplifting his spirits, secure in the knowledge that he is valued by his colleagues as a team player. We all wish Jayden continued success!
