Followers of the Rob George Foundation will be familiar with Emmanuel. The RGF has supported him multiple times over the last few years, and it’s clearly showing dividends as his athletic career develops.
Emmanuel is in regular contact with the RGF, and we’re delighted to share his most recent update:
“The RGF has been instrumental in my development over the last few years. After graduating from university, I was uncertain as to how I would be able to focus on my athletics training whilst being able to support myself financially, but I reached out to the RGF, and they have been more than supportive of me by helping fund my training and physiotherapy which is so crucial to a developing athlete. With the ongoing support from the RGF, I have gone on to win multiple medals at the England National Championships each year such as BUCS, England U23 National Championships, and various others.
“You will recall that back in 2023 I was selected to represent Great Britain and NI in U23 European Championship in Espoo where I won a bronze medal in the men’s 4x400m relay. I doubt I would have achieved that level without their support.
“The RGF has really helped me get to where I am right now, and I wouldn’t be at the level I’m at now without them. I’m so grateful.”
RGF trustee David Cant said: “Thanks for staying in touch, Emmanuel, we really appreciate hearing from our grantees, and we’re delighted that you are still making great progress in the competitive world of athletics and doing you, and the RGF, proud!”
