…the smile that spread over our faces when we received an application from a student at Rob’s old Uni, Loughborough. Emily Deason has only, to date (November 2014), competed in three duathlon races, however it turns out she’s pretty good. In the summer of 2014 she finished 5th in her age group at the World Championships representing team GB, and that was on a borrowed bike! This result means that she has pre-qualified for the next World Championships in 2015 – in Adelaide, Australia.

Emily still needs to find half of the money required for the trip, but we are hoping she achieves that, in which case we will buy her a brand new bike. We wish you every success Emily, and good luck with your fundraising too!
