Imagine…
In June 2022 Bruce competed in his first World Karate Federation (WKF) Youth League Camp and Under 12 Cup in Croatia.
Bruce’s mum, Shona, has been in touch and given the RGF an update on his progress: “Bruce is exceptionally committed to his sport, karate, and is a member of the JKS Scotland Elite Squad, competing nationally and internationally. He started competing in 2019 and has already won 5 gold, 2 silver, and 6 bronze individual medals, together with 1 gold, 2 silver, and 4 bronze team medals. In June 2021, Bruce was delighted to be awarded his 1st Dan black belt and is now training for his 2nd Dan black belt which he will attempt in August 2023. Bruce is currently too young to be selected for the Scottish Karate Governing Body (SKGB) National Team, but his dream is to be able to join when he is 14. We were absolutely delighted that this opportunity was supported by The Rob George Foundation, allowing Bruce to compete at such a high level internationally.”
The pictures show Bruce at the WKF Youth League Camp and Under 12 Cup in Croatia, proudly wearing his RGF t-shirt and with his prized and richly deserved bronze medal.
We all wish Bruce continued success for 2022 and beyond.
