… At only 17 years old, you have been seriously ill since 2011. A stem cell transplant has resulted in many severe complications including mobility issues, and the impact on your life is appalling. Throughout all this you have tried to continue your education – these are, after all, such important years and you are fighting for your future. Most of your studying is currently done at home or in hospital with a tutor. Your mum has lost her job as she had no leave left and needed to look after you through your treatment.
