Elisabeth has been in touch with news of her recent successes. On the weekend of 8/9 November Elisabeth travelled to Helsinki with the British Fencing (BF) Junior (U20) women’s Epee team to fence in a Junior World Cup Tournament. This competition was attended by 144 fencers from around the world and had a huge difficulty rating. Towards the end of a very long day, Elisabeth remained the only British fencer still competing and finally finished in 9th place. This means that Elisabeth automatically qualifies for both the Junior European and the World championships to be held in 2015, and the points that she accumulated at the tournament place her 1st in the current BF domestic U20 rankings for Epee by a very clear margin. Elisabeth is obviously delighted with this result, as are her coach and the team involved in the Talent Program. The RGF is proud to have played a small part in Elisabeth’s preparations for this season and look forward to the next update
