Commonwealth Beach Volleyball Bronze Medals for RGF grantees, the Bello brothers

Twin brothers Javier & Joaquin Bello made history when they won England’s first ever Commonwealth Games medal in beach volleyball last month.

Javier said: “It is extremely hard to put it into words. We are just so grateful, really proud and excited. That was the best experience we have had in our career so far. The important message from Joaquin and me, and what we want everyone to know, is that the RGF was our very first supporter and they made an enormous difference when we started our career and we really appreciate the work they do with young athletes like us and, of course, young people with life-threatening and terminal illnesses.”

RGF Trustee, David Cant said: “Huge congratulations to Javier & Joaquin on winning Bronze Commonwealth Medals. We really enjoyed watching you compete. You did yourselves, your family, and the country (and the RGF!) proud. Everything crossed that you build on your success and make it to Paris 2024.”
