We all like to receive an email where the bank tells you it wants to give you some money, so you can imagine how chuffed we all felt when a message arrived from Gavin from Barclay’s to tell us how successful the previous evening’s Barclay’s Quiz Night had been. In Gavin’s words:
“The evening went very well, a great attendance and lots of fun had by all. I am very pleased to confirm that we raised a total of £4350 – which includes £2000 of Barclays’ matched funding. It’s always great to know what this means for the charity in terms of “what this buys”, out of interest more than anything.”
We were happy to be able to reply that our average grant is around £750-£1000, so that’s four to five young people to whom the Rob George Foundation will be able to offer assistance. A huge thank you to everyone concerned.
