Working with Essex Community Foundation

The Rob George Foundation was established in January 2014 as an independent charity. It operated very successfully until June 2025 under the guidance of a small but dedicated group of trustees, supporting more than 1700 young people, and awarding in excess of £1,000,000 in grants. Those trustees were determined to put in place succession plans to ensure that all funds donated and raised would be used wisely and in accordance with the purposes Rob laid down in the RGF’s Trust Deed. They decided that a merger with Essex Community Foundation (“ECF”) provided the perfect solution, and this was achieved on 30th June 2025.

ECF (charity number 152061) is an independent charitable trust with over twenty-five years experience of managing charitable funds. By working with them, we will ensure that we continue to support young and deserving young people for the foreseeable future, just as Rob wanted.
