On Sunday 5 December with just a hint of rain and strong winds, an intrepid group of RGF supporters, dressed in an array of Santa ‘themed’ outfits took to the bustling lanes of Fingringhoe, Langenhoe, Abberton and Peldon to take part in the RGF Santa’s Cycle 2021; a bracing 12.6-mile (or longer if you can’t read a map – you know who you are!) circuit around the aforementioned villages.
David Cant, a trustee of the RGF commented: “This fun event, raising an amazing £ 875 for the RGF was superbly organised by Elizabeth Hornung and Nigel Hughes, huge supporters of the RGF since we launched. Every Santa, on completing the circuit, was rewarded with mulled wine, a selection of soups and cheeses – a good time was had by all, and our heartfelt thanks go out to Elizabeth and Nigel for their kind support, generosity and hospitality.”
