A grant from the RGF recently supported Alex and Matty Bogan in their Team GB JRDA Roller Derby World Cup adventure to Brisbane. They were able to participate in bringing home the Bronze Medal in the Open Category for the first time ever. Team GB played incredibly well and were only just pipped at the post by Team USA and Team France. Alex went on to be chosen as Team GB’s Most Valuable Player for the Tournament by the other teams, showing what great commitment and leadership he was able to provide for the team. Matty came back from an injury in the final group stages to be pivotal in helping secure the Bronze Medal in the finals. Well played, Alex and Matty!
