Exciting new running challenge, RUNADAY, choose the RGF to be their chosen charity for July

RUNADAY, set up by a group of health and sport enthusiasts, have got on board to raise funds for the Rob George Foundation in July.

The RUNADAY team, which includes RGF supporter Pat Ward, will donate 10% of their proceeds to the charity next month.

RUNADAY participants run or walk a set distance, 1k, 3k,5k or 10k every day for a month. As part of their sign-up, each member gives 10% of their monthly entry fee to their charity of the month and then try and raise funds as part of their monthly challenge.

RUNADAY was conceptualised by the team in early 2021, when the team were all looking for ways to motivate themselves to leave the house safely during the UK’s COVID Lockdown Three.

Pat told us: “I’ve known Pip and David from the RGF for years and it’s a charity close to the hearts of many in the Colchester area and beyond, so I’m delighted that we have this opportunity to support them with our fundraising efforts throughout July.
We all get some much enjoyment from the RUNADAY activity. There is no doubt that it is great for your mental and physical health to take a walk or run every day and we want to encourage others to get outside, pop your trainers on and take to the streets, woods, or paths local to you. Remember you can do it with a friend too.
Our challenges are for everyone, from fitness fanatics to those looking to lose some timber and even those who just need a motivation to get out of the house once a day.”

All you need to do is find your distance and pick the month you wish to enter. RUNADAY will stay in touch you and send you motivating ‘get up and go’ emails every day!
