Towards the end of 2019, it was the turn of the RGF to be on the receiving end of some very welcome help and assistance. An ageing computer system that had seen plenty of use by RGF Chairman, Philip George, over the last few years needed replacing.
This is where Alasdair Hodgkins and his team at Sarala Computers rose to the challenge. Alasdair told us:
“After hearing an amazing, sad, thought provoking and heart-warming presentation from Lorraine and Philip at the Business Café it became obvious that Sarala Computers could help this amazing charity resolve their IT issues.
We were very pleased to donate some hardware, software and consultancy time to get them up to date and to help them access the facilities that Microsoft provides to registered charities.
It’s very apparent that the Rob George Foundation touches a lot of people who desperately need their help and that the dedication, effort and commitment from the whole team makes this possible whilst preserving the memory of Rob.”
We managed to prise Philip away from his new computer just long enough to say: “A big thank you to Alasdair Hodgkins and the team at Sarala Computers for bringing the Foundation’s IT into the 21st century!”
