Introducing Serena, another rising star supported by the RGF

My name is Serena, age 15 from Norfolk. I am an aspiring athlete who competes in both track & field events on County, Regional & National level. Being a sprinter my main track events are 60m, 100m, 200m & 300m where I have maintained county champion for all 4 events for the past 3 years. In 2017, I became the U15g record holder for the 300m which hadn’t been broken since 1995. As well as track, I also compete in Triple Jump, Shot & Discus in the league meetings. I have recently competed in the Norfolk School County Championships where I won both 100 & 200m which I achieved the qualifying times to be able to represent my school & county in English Schools Championships held in Birmingham, July 2018. I am extremely happy as I am first year U17 and have already gained the ES Standard. Last year as an U15g, I become an English Schools Finalist in the 100m & also at the U15g England National Championships in Bedford. Earlier on this year, I competed in the indoor 60m at a National Championships held in Sheffield.

The Rob George Foundation have been superb and have kindly helped and supported me with my Athletics career. This Foundation is amazing, it enables me to have access to attend bigger competitions, regionally & nationally, when I often have to stay overnight in hotels which can be a big expense. Also it helps towards such things as running equipment, membership. & entry fees. Thank you for your generosity!

Thank you.
